Medical Eye Services

Medical Treatment of Eye Diseases

Del Rey Optometry provides professional, comprehensive vision care. Each of our eye doctors are trained and licensed to diagnosis and treat most eye disesases.

Our advanced eyecare equipment supports the detection, diagnosis, and documentation of eye diseases. Where deemed necessary, the eye examinations we provide may include retinal fundus photography, scanning laser polarimetry, binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy, pachymetry, threshold visual field analysis, or other tests to provide superior medical eye care.

Our doctors regularly manage patients with vision health conditions that include dry eyes, eye allergies, keratoconus, infectious conjunctivitis, corneal abrasions, age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and foreign objects in eyes.

Keratoconus

Keratoconus is a progressive eye condition where the cornea, the clear front surface of the eye, thins and bulges outward into a cone shape. This abnormal shape distorts the way light enters the eye, causing visual problems such as blurring and halos around lights.

Dry Eye

Dry eye syndrome affects 10-20% of the US population. Unfortunately, this complex condition is often untreated or treated inadequately and patients continue to bear with the symptoms of dry eyes unnecessarily.
